Roman History Week

We are beginning Spring 2 with a whole-school history week on the Romans. Class 3B are visiting the Lancaster City Museum to meet a Roman and we are going to be exploring Romulus and Remus and Boudicca through our literacy and topic.

Take a look below at all the exciting things we have been up to! frown

What an incredibly successful homework challenge! I would just like to say a BIG thank you to all the children and their parents/families for creating amazing shields! Well done.

Roman Chariot Race!

Winner of the chariot race!

We had a great day on Friday looking at Roman Entertainment. The children made their very own chariot and played Roman games such as calculi before creating their own.

We learned how to make the testudo ( tortoise) formation in dance. The Roman soldiers used their shields at the front, back and top of their lines to protect themselves.
