As part of our 'Dinosaur Day', the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 were treated to a session with our music and dance dream team, Mrs Marriott and Mrs Hunter! The children learned their very own, especially written and choreographed, dinosaur song and dance! Each dinosaur group had their very own moves! Here is the 'Brontosaurus' group shaking their tails!!!
Our class pet!
Here is Billy with Billy-Bob. We take it in turns, to take him home.
Practising being penguins!
We have been learning about animals that live in Polar Regions. Here we are pretending to be penguins.
Fun in the snow
Snowflakes!
Having fun in the snow before it melted!
Happy New Year to you all. We hope that you had a great Christmas. This term we are looking at wintery weather and the effect the weather has on animals living in the Polar Regions. Let's hope it snows so we can experience the snowy conditions first -hand. We can also build a snowman! After the weather project we will be looking at 'Dinosaurs' alongside Year 2 and Reception.
Visit Year 1's 'Treat and Eat' stall in 1B at the Christmas Fair to choose from a selection of fabulous Christmas baubles made from felt, clay or pasta, each costing £1.00. They also have a selection of delicious treats to eat! You can even decorate your own biscuit - yummy!
Treat and Eat Advert
After a successful, fun time exploring the woodlands as Nature Detectives, this half term we are looking at 'Toys'. For the first few weeks we will be focusing on the history of toys. Activities will include looking at how toys have changed over the years, what they are made from and games children used to play. We will have lots of practical activities and opportunities to handle toys from the past. In Art sessions we will replicate some of the toys.
