There are numerous world museums offering free online access to many of their collections during this time.  Head to http://museu.ms/ to browse a range of the world's museums and see what they have to offer remotely, but here are a few suggestions to explore virtually.


British Museum, London

This iconic museum located in the heart of London allows virtual visitors to tour the Great Court and discover the ancient Rosetta Stone and Egyptian mummies. There are also hundreds of artifacts on the museum’s virtual tour. https://britishmuseum.withgoogle.com/


Musée d’Orsay, Paris

You can walk through this popular gallery virtually and discover dozens of famous works from French artists who worked and lived between 1848 and 1914. Get a sneaky peek at artworks from Monet, Cézanne, and Gauguin, among others. 



Louvre Museum, Paris

The infamous Louvre, home of the Mona Lisa and recognisable by its glass pyramid, offers a small selection of online tours, including a tour of Egyptian antiquities. 



Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam

Explore the works of this infamous painter up close (almost) by virtually visiting this museum – the largest collection of artworks by Vincent van Gogh, including over 200 paintings, 500 drawings, and over 750 personal letters.
