We have had a fantastic first day back to school! We came in our pirate hats and climbed aboard the ship! We found a treasure chest but it would not open so we had to use our map skills to find the clues. Each clue was a letter and together we worked out that they spelt the word...Torrisholme. This is where our journey will begin! The treasure chest then opened to reveal our treasure. Our learning will now continue as we find out more about map skills and our local area.
We have loved being back in our outdoor area! We have been busy practicing our counting, addition and subtraction skills in the maths area, telling stories in our small world area, getting creative in the creative area and giving our bodies a work out in the skills area.
|We went on a walk around school today to explore the different kinds of houses we have in Torrisholme. We spotted a caravan, lots of bungalows and semi-detached houses and even a tent in a garden! We also noticed lots of other things like the beautiful blossom trees outside school, road names, street lights and lots more. We love Torrisholme!|
