Please note, during the autumn term 2020, all PE lessons will take place outdoors. Children will requirre trainers rather than pumps.
For Health and Safety reasons, jewellery should not be worn in school. This includes earrings.
If parents wish to have their child’s ears pierced, then we ask that this is done at the beginning of the summer holidays.
If a child is wearing earrings and is unable to remove them, they will not be permitted to take part in any PE or swimming lessons. Taping over earrings is not a safe option.
Disclaimers from parents about the wearing of any items of jewellery by a pupil will be declined. Such indemnities have no legal status. The duty of care remains firmly with the school on such matters.
