Today we met a Viking Skald!
Incase you didn’t know, a skald is a story teller who brings the past to life. Our skald regaled us with tales of Norse life, shared artefacts and showed us how to prepare for battle. What a brilliant afternoon!

Smashing Saxons!
Wow! What a way to kickstart a new school year! This morning, we welcomed a travelling storyteller, known as Wolfstein, into school who regaled us with tales from the time of the Anglo Saxons. We enjoyed re-enacting key features from this time and spent time handling interesting and thought provoking artefacts. We finished our session with a series of spear drills, which was certainly a highlight!
