Religious Education
This afternoon, the children considered how the 5 Pillars of Islam are followed in today's society. They came up with some insightful questions.
Visit from United Utilities
The children were enthusiastic to welcome Ruth from United Utilities who gave them a very informative talk. They learned about: uses of water; the amount of water we use; which reservoirs our water comes from; the natural water cycle and where in this cycle water companies intervene to create clean water; using water wisely.
Composing
Having composed our pieces of music based on a journey of a river, the children played and evaluated them.
Investigating conditions for growth of mould on bread
The children set up different investigations to see which conditions would promote the growth of micro organisms. They had to keep the test fair by using bread from the same loaf and only changing one factor.
