Literacy
Today we want you to sequence the pictures of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. In your paper pack you will find 2 sheets as pictured below. Please cut out the pictures and stick them onto the other sheet in the correct order. For each picture we would like you to write a sentence about that part of the story. If you haven't collected your paper pack yet then don't worry - you can just do this on paper.
Maths
In maths today we are going to learn about odd and even numbers. First we would like you to watch the numberblocks video on the link shown below. There is then a sheet in your paper pack to complete (pictured below) As an extra challenge/if you haven't collected your paper pack yet you can create your own odd/even pictures. Take a look at Mrs Kippax's pictures for some ideas. We can't wait to see your work Year 1!
Topic
Following on from our roarsome dinosaur work yesterday we want you to be a super scientist today and research some facts about dinosaurs. You could use books if you have any or have a look at some of the links below. Can you write 3 fun facts about what you have found out? Don't forget to use a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop! We cant wait to read your fun facts!
There is also a fun app that you can download (with your grown up's permisson!) that allows you to see dinosaurs in your living room! It is called 'Dinosaurs Everywhere' and is a free app. You could even draw some dinosaurs and use 'dino bark rubbings' to colour them in by using crayons and a tree! Have fun Year 1!
Handwriting/Spelling
In your paper pack you will find the sheets pictured below to help you practice your handwriting of 'igh' words and some common exception word spellings. If you don't have your paper pack yet then you can just use paper. Remember to really focus when handwriting, ensuring the letters are formed correctly and sitting on the line. Good luck Year 1 - we know you can do this!
