Spring 2
We have thoroughly enjoyed our DT work this half term. We investigated different puppets and how they were used, thought about who we might like to make our puppets for, investigated and explored different ways to join materials, thought about which of these were strongest and weakest and then spent some time learning how to sew a running stitch and overlap stitch. When we went on to design and make our own puppets we thought carefully about how it would look and what stitch we would use to join our material. We love how they turned out! What do you think? After we had completed our puppets, we evaluated them thinking carefully about what worked well and what we might improve on as well as gaining some critical thought from a friend. Then we went onto practise our story telling using our puppets, ready to share with some of our reception children.
We enjoyed a visit from a nurse today. We talked all about the role of nurses and how they help people. We learned where nurses might work and what resources they need. We also talked about Florence Nightingale.

We had a great workshop with ‘The Yogi Group’ today. We learned some great yoga poses and some super breathing techniques too. We ended the session feeling very zen and ready to learn!

We have loved performing our ‘Hats Off’ show today! Thank you all for being an amazing audience.

We have loved learning all about the Christian festival Easter today with the help from Debbie from NISCU. Thank you for your wonderful story telling Debbie!
