Year 4 showcase - ukuleles and improvisation
Year 4 have been hard at work, this half term, getting ready for a small performance of their musical skills.
In 4S, the children have been perfecting their chord skills to accompany a favourite school song - Count on Me! They needed C, Cm7, Am, F and G7 and their fingers are becoming super nimble across the ukulele frets!

In 4T, the children have been perfecting their improvisation skills on the chime bars. Using B, A and G, they have been thinking about pattern, keeping the beat and coming in and finishing together. They make a super sound!

A visit from the Little Mermaid!
We were so lucky to have a performance from Leigh who was performing as Ariel in The Little Mermaid atThe Grand Theatre in Lancaster. Her voice was absolutely beautiful and she became an instant role model to us all. What an amazing performance- thank you, Leigh!
Part of Your World
Visit from the Lancaster Music Hub
Helen came into assembly to tell us about the many different music groups there are available to join. Whilst she was there, she played her cello as we came in and we sang a song together. Some of the children had a go at playing the drums.
Showcasing the harmonica in assembly
One of our UKS2 children wanted to play his harmonica for the children in assembly. He has been teaching himself from You Tube- an awesome performance and great confidence!
