Spring 2
On Friday we celebrated International Women's Day by learning all about Ameila Earhart, who was a courageous pilot who broke records in the air! We loved making planes and flying to see which plane went the furthest and locating her journey on a world map! We loved exploring 'When I grow up' and dressing up in these professional costumes (Firefighters, police officers, doctors and nurses) and dreaming big!
📖World Book Day Celebrations 📚
We loved stepping into our magical 'Once Upon a Time' topic by finding and making magical wands by finding a special stick and decorating it with natural treasures from the forest and casting magical spells. We enjoyed comparing the length of our magic wands using longest and shortest. 🪄
What a magical muddy Monday adventure!
The Gingerbread Man ✨
We have loved listening to the BBC Philharmonic orchestra tell the musical story of the Gingerbread Man and pretending to play the flute, violin and cello! 🎶
Ruby came to play a special tune to us today on her flute! What fun! 💙
We have loved 'Drawing Club' and learning new vocabulary words such as gobbled, accelerate, pursue, cunning & soggy each day and innovating our story by drawing a new story character that was baked by the little old woman from our story 'The Gingerbread Man'.
The children amazed us with their ideas and creations, inventing a gingerbread number cucumber, a stinky pizza and a ginger dragon and much more!
Our Muddy Monday Adventure!
We loved using mud and natural objects to create mud faces of the wonderful women in our lives!
