Experiment to see which colours make the best reflectors
Shadows!
Who could believe it? Such a sunny day on the 27th November! Lucky for us, it meant we could carry out our shadow experiment. We talked about how shadows are made and direction of a shadow. We drew round the shadow made by the pole at 9:30am and made some estimates as to where the shadow would be in an hour.
An hour later, we plotted the second shadow by drawing round it with chalk. Then we had a go at predicting where the shadow would be at dinner time and at home time.
Unfortunately, the weather changed by home time and our shadow was gone but we made some excellent predictions!
