Shell Structures

To bring our topic to an end, the children were set a challenge:

We worked in pairs or individually to design and make the perfect cube box to carry a small figure. We had a strict criteria to follow. 

After our boxes were made, we went around in pairs marking out of 10 against the criteria to see whose box was the best:

Then the fun bit! We had to test each box for strength and durability. This was a fun experiment and most of our boxes survived!
