Maritime Museum Trip
As part of this half term’s history and English focus, Year 5 visited Lancaster Maritime Museum, exploring the history of the transatlantic slave trade and the role Lancaster played in this. The children created their own clay sculptures, showcasing the plethora of emotions felt by those who were enslaved, as well as exploring the museum and learning about Lancaster’s history with this trade.
