How is our school environment changing?
Today we explored the school grounds to observe how the school environment was changing. We discussed whether these changes were man-made or natural and if these changes were for the better or worse.
Cops and Robbers retrieval practice - what do you remember about living things and their habitats?
Using their newly developed knowledge of invertebrates, the children worked really hard to develop a usable dichotomous key which they could take out and about in the school grounds. The whoops and squeals of delight as they sought out and then correctly identified each minibeast could be heard all around school! 🐜🪲🦋🕷️😃

What a wonderfully sunshiny exploration of our school grounds including our much improved pond area. The children enjoyed seeking out an abundance of ‘living things’.
