Music
Composition
We listened to a piece of music called “Central Park in the Dark”.
This is what we thought….
What can you hear?
Does the music tell a story?
How does the music make you feel?
How old do you think the music is?

We took our inspiration from artist Kandinsky to paint a musical picture.

This half term in music we are looking at composition. We started this week’s lesson by watching a 25 second clip of ‘Rio’ the film with no sound, the challenge was then set to create our own composition in pairs to fit with the clip, thinking about sound effects, character’s emotions and personality.

This week in our composition lessons, we are looking at music with technology. We explored the Chrome Music Lab website and discovered lots of ways to compose. We used the Melody Maker first to create a simple tune and then tried something slightly more complex using the Song Maker.
