The Moon and it's phases
Today we are going to revisit our learning about the planets and learn about a very important part of our solar system, the moon. The videos on the page will tell you more about this part of space. At the end, we would like you to write at least 5 facts about the Moon and we would like you to start your moon diary tonight!
Have a think about these questions...
What does the moon look like at night?
Does it look the same every night? Yes/No, why?
Why the moon looks different at different points of the month? How long is a lunar cycle?
Do you know any of the names of the different phases of the moon? Does the moon actually change shape during the different phases?
By the end of this afternoon, you should know the answers to lots of these questions!
Our solar system model
The rest of the videos and pictures will help explain the different phases of the moon.
