I have the great honour and privilege of leading Torrisholme Community Primary School and therefore know first-hand the wonderful warm, caring and happy learning environment that is created by the whole school family and the lovely welcome that awaits both children and their families.

Every child is unique, special and very precious.  Every individual shines in many different ways and it is our duty to nurture, encourage and educate them each day to be the very best that they can be.  Therefore, we pride ourselves in the happy and safe learning environment that we create to enable the children to experience all aspects of the primary curriculum in a fun and creative way and to flourish. 

Our curriculum enables them to have many opportunities to develop key skills and to experience learning in different ways so that they can make excellent progress and memories that last a lifetime.  We teach in ways that inspire, motivate and encourage children to become independent learners who always want to learn more and contribute positively to the world around them.

We are an inclusive school family, who values every child’s uniqueness and support their development – whatever their needs may be.

We are situated in the heart of the community that we serve and as such make a positive contribution to local charities and welcome local visitors into school.
