Systems and Searching
During their computing lessons, Year 5 have started to explore systems and how and where these are used in day-to-day life. The children began by drawing their own basic systems of an input, process and output within a toy. They then ordered the stages to a computer system used in shopping.
This half term, the class are exploring picture formation on computers through vector graphics (where images are formed using 2D shapes and lines). The children began by creating basic shapes like houses, and have moved onto drawing more complex shapes using keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl C for copy and Ctrl V for paste) and manipulation of the shapes.
