Personal, Social & Emotional Development
This term in PSHE, our theme is “Changing Me”, where we explore growing up, understanding and respecting our bodies, and recognising that change is a natural part of life. Through fun activities, we will learn to name body parts, keep our body healthy, talk about our feelings, and celebrate our uniqueness, all while creating excitement and readiness for our next step in our learning journey.
My Body
“I can name parts of the body”
We explored what body parts we already were familiar with and new body parts. We discussed what certain parts of the body does and why it is important.

Respecting My Body
“I can tell you some of the things I can do and foods I can eat to be healthy”
We explored foods that are healthy and less healthy, and we loved sharing our ideas about the healthy foods we eat at home, as well as the less healthy foods we sometimes enjoy as treats. We also discussed how we can keep our bodies healthy through different activities and making good choices.
”if we sit on our iPads thats not good because we need to play instead”
We sorted food into healthy and less healthy! “We can have chocolate sometimes for a special snack” Joey “We can eat carrots because they are vegetables” Finley

This terms PSHE focuses on the theme of ‘Relationships’, we will explore the importance of friendships and family, learning how to make friends, be kind, and understand that everyone
is unique and special. Through exciting activities, stories, and discussions, we will develop skills to express our feelings, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships with others.
My Family and Me
This week in our PSHE lesson, we focused on the theme "My Family and Me'. We shared stories about our own families, learning that families can look different for everyone but are all special in their own way. We discussed the importance of love, care, and support within families, and how these relationships help us feel safe and happy. We created our own family portrait and discussed why each person is extra special to us.

Make Friends, Make Friends, Never Ever Break Friends!
This week in PSHE, we have been learning about how to be a good friend! We used role play to act out different situations, when we feel lonely, when a friend feels lonely or even when someone is feeling a bit grumpy. The children practised being kind, listening carefully, and thinking of ways to help their friends feel better. It's been great to see everyone working together to build positive friendships and even had a giggle acting out different facial expressions that we could share with each other. We have some great actors in the Dolphin class!
