What a wonderful start to our Autumn 2 learning adventure, this half term we will be learning about Festivals and celebrations.
Christmas Party Fun!
We had lots of fun watching Cinderella Pantomime at Morecambe Winter Gardens with our school family.
We loved writing a letter to Santa and then walking to the post box on Low Lane to post our letters, all the way to Reindeer Land in the North Pole!
Our First Nativity 💙
On Thursday 1st December our kindness elves arrived! The Kindness Elves are magical friends who love nothing more than to sprinkle kindness and joy wherever they go! They love to visit Torrisholme Community Primary School and spread this happiness with children, encouraging them to do small acts of kindness in their daily lives.
D&T Week 💙
I’m Special, I’m Me! In PSHE we loved creating our very own ‘I’m special’ class paper chain. 💙
Rock Kidz 💙
Rock Kidz 2022 💙
A big thank you to all our families who have shared photographs. We had lots of fun loved learning about all the different festivals the children enjoyed celebrating with their families at home. 💙
We loved looking at photographs of the children (and staff) as babies and looking at how we have changed. We enjoyed thinking of all the wonderful things we can do now!
Just look at our wonderful writing! ✏️
World Nursery Rhyme Week
This week we are so excited to be taking part in and celebrating Nursery Rhyme Week 2022! On Monday, we loved singing our first song ‘The Big Ship Sailed’ before embarking on an exciting voyage across the Atlantic Ocean! 🌟
We loved singing our new Nursery Rhyme with the wonderful Mrs Jones. We had lots of fun diving into the ocean to learn about what amazing animals and plants live there!
We loved learning our new Nursery Rhyme of the day ‘5 Little Speckled Frogs’! We had lots of fun pretending to be tadpoles swimming, growing and changing in a pond. We loved wiggling and waggling our ‘tadpole’ fingers. Then putting both hands together for the tadpole’s tale. Hopping on the spot, like a baby froglet, crouching down and ‘boinging’, springing up, landing gently with hands and feet together on the floor. Finally finding our froggy voices, as we blinked our eyes and stuck out our froggy tongues, as we made croaky froggy sounds! What a frogtastic adventure! 🐸
We talked about the significance of Poppies and Remembrance Day and we created some representations of poppies and medals in different ways to remember the brave soldiers.
