I am Mrs. Dowker, and I have the priviledge to be the SENDCo for Torrisholme Primary School. SENDCo stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator.

This means that I work with all of the staff in school and outside agencies to support all of our children who may have additional needs. These needs maybe specific learning needs; emotional, social, and mental health; physical; or communication and interaction needs.

A key part of my role is working with families and the professionals to support our young people with additional needs to achieve, flourish and develop to be happy, fulfilled young people who have personal aspirations and achieve their potential. Torrisholme School welcomes all children and values each of their unique personalities and qualities, and embrace this as adding and enhancing our school family.
