Heysham Power Station Trip
Walney class completed a very insightful and interesting school trip, where we were able to explore Heysham power station 2. The children were told about the various sources of energy and how this nuclear reactor is simply boiling water to turn a turbine. The children investigated the pros and cons of each source and explored the visitor centre, where they got the opportunity to create different circuits, and to try and generate their own power.
STEAM Event
The children took part in another trip to Heysham Power Station, this time exploring activities about different aspects of the station.
Meeting the Buddies!
Year 5 got the opportunity to meet their buddies for next year. They were fantastic role models and very mature, and seemed very excited for next year!
Rock Kidz ON TOUR
To end the year, the children got to rock out again with Rock Kidz!
