Internet Safety Day 2024

Smartie the Penguin Song 🎶

We loved learning about the adventures of Smartie the Penguin and learning all about internet safety and how to stay safe online!

We loved singing Mummy Penguins song “Before you tap and click, you need to stop and think, and tell someone!” and making posters to help our friends and family to stay safe online!

Fun on NSPCC Number Day!

We loved going on an outdoor maths adventure!

We loved looking for and counting minibeasts, making a square using sticks, making repeating patterns using natural treasures from the forest and finding the biggest tree and much more! What a marvellous maths adventure!

We had lots of number fun!

Gung Hey Fat Choy! 🏮

This week we have loved learning all about the special festival and celebration of Chinese New Year.

We enjoyed learning all about a very special Chinese tradition, where you tie your wish to a wishing tree in the hope that it will come true! We loved writing our very own wishes (using and applying our letter sounds) for the Lunar New Year and adding them to our special class wishing tree.

We loved being great geographers and locating China on our World map and learning all about the Great Wall of China. We enjoyed building the ‘Great Wall of China’ together. What fun!

Fun on Welly Wednesday!
We enjoyed taking part in Chinese Zodiac Yoga, moving our body in the shape of the different animals.

We loved mud painting, copying different Chinese numbers and letters onto tree barks and rocks and using natural objects to represent the lucky numbers 3,4 & 9. What a wonderful adventure!

We had so much fun learning about the traditional lion dance and why is it symbolic and lucky. We loved taking part in our very own lion dance around our school!
