WELCOME TO WYRE!

Welcome to Wyre Class, with Miss Bartram, Mrs Meikle and Miss Newsham. Here you will be able to find out what is happening in Wyre Class - we will share our learning journey on this page, with regular updates. 

Important Notices

PE: Wednesday mornings (outdoor- weather permitting!)

Swimming: Thursday morning

Please remember to send in a full (labelled!) PE kit/swim kit

Tie long hair back on these days

Remove any earrings or jewellery (e.g. watches or religious items)

Reading Books: reading books will be changed on regularly. Please listen to your child read at least 4 times a week and make a note of this in their reading record.

Spellings: spellings will go home every Monday and we will have a class spell check on Friday morning. These can also be practised on Edshed each week. 

Times Tables: please learn ALL of the time tables, beginning with securing quick recall of the 2,5,10's then 3,4,8's and then 6,7,9,11,12's.

Resources such as TTRS, Hit the button, minute maths are all good ways to practise these!

Login details for both Edshed/TTRS can be found in the children's reading records - please let us know if you need another copy.

PPA (every Wednesday pm) will be Miss Holmes. 

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to catch us at the start or end of the day. Alternatively, you can pop a note in your child's Reading Record for us.
