School Council
What does the School Council do?
School Councillors are elected by the pupils in their class to :
* to participate in school council meetings and discuss how to improve our school.
* let the class know what was discussed at meetings.
* take views of classmates to meetings via class suggestion box.
* plan and be involved in school events.

“John Day” Day
School Council led a very special service in remembrance of our dear friend and Governor, for over 30 years, Mr John Day.
It was wonderful to welcome his family to unveil a special Reading Bench and Story Throne kindly donated by Woodies Woodcraft in his memory.

The power of pupil voice.
I am thrilled to share a remarkable success story.
Imogen, School Councillor for Leven Class, shared a concern that had been raised in her class suggestion box.
Her classmates were worried that they were missing a significant amount of playtime because of the length of the queue for the snack trolley.
Imogen broached this concern with Mrs Hadfield. Following this, Mrs Hadfield has put measures in place to have separate snack trolleys for different year groups and to streamline the purchase of snack passes.
Well done to Imogen!
