Roa
Welcome to the Roa Class page where we will share our learning journey and Year 6 fun and adventures with you all.
Meet the team
Class teacher: Miss Stalker
PPA teacher: Mrs Morton (Wednesday)
Teaching Assistant: Mrs Tuer
Reading: Children are required to read a minimum of 4 times each week and record their reading progress in their home/school diary: book, date, page read up to and length of time to ensure this can be monitored and rewarded in school.
Spellings: Children will receive a list of spelling containing the weekly spelling rule to practise each week. The children’s progress with these spelling words will be monitored in their independent writing. Children are also expected to learn the year 3, 4, 5 and 6 statutory spelling words which are being covered in class and they will know which spellings they need to learn based on their progress.
Times Tables Rockstars: Children are encouraged to spend at least 5 minutes a day on TTRS to increase their multiplication/division recall fluency. Their progress is monitored and rewarded in class and in assemblies.
Learning by Questions: The children will have their own unique code for accessing the weekly Maths and SPaG tasks set. These tasks are expected to be completed each week by the children.
