Web page creation.
What makes a good website?
We are Web Page Designers and are using Google Sites to design a new school website:
We familiarised ourselves with the terms ‘fair use’ and ‘copyright’. I now have an understanding of why I should only use copyright-free images and I know how to find appropriate images to use in my work from suggested sources. I can explain how to use technology respectfully and responsibly and search for images using creative commons.

Working Together
Today we imagined how we could work together collaboratively on the same online project if we were not in the same location.
Holly volunteered to be “Project Manager” and was in charge of allocating work to her colleagues using the chat tool on google slides.
Well done to everyone for following Holly’s instructions and producing a fact file about Brazil.
Considering copyright and fair usage.

Data Packets
A data packet is a small piece of data, like a single word or picture, that is sent over the internet.
Large amounts of information, like a webpage, are split into many data packets because they are too big to send all at once.
Each packet has a unique number so it can be put back in the correct order by the receiving computer.
We sent messages to our classmates using data packets.
