Maths
We’ve now moved on to a new topic—money! We started by discussing what we already know, including the different coins and notes we use, ways we can purchase things, why we need money, and even talked about different currencies around the world.
In Maths, we’ve been getting really confident with decimals! We’ve learnt how to make a whole using tenths and hundredths, and we’ve been partitioning decimals in lots of different ways—even flexibly! We've had fun comparing and ordering decimals, and we’re getting really good at spotting which numbers are bigger or smaller. Lately, we’ve also been rounding decimals to the nearest whole number, which has helped us feel even more confident when working with tricky numbers. It’s been great seeing everyone challenge themselves and explain their thinking!
