Science
In science we have been learning all about the formation of rocks. We learnt about the differences between igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic and tested different rocks to see how hard, durable and permeable they were.
We learnt some songs to help us remember how the different rocks were formed!
We also explored the different types of soil and what different materials we can find in them.
The Great Science Share 2025.
For this year’s Great Science Share Year 3 are investigating the effect of climate change on our coral reefs.
We are using skittles to represent coral and seeing the effect that different water temperature has.
For this year's Great Science Observation we went outside and explored the playground to see what minibeasts we could find. We used classification flowcharts and our knowledge of the features of insects to decide if they were insects or not.
