Autumn Term
This is Me!
During our very first half term in Starfish Class, we will learn how to settle into the ebb and flow of school life as we build new relationships and learn new routines whilst considering how to care for ourselves, each other and the world. With the support of our new school family, we will begin to develop the self-regulation skills and confidence needed to make new friends whilst accessing our indoor and outdoor learning environments independently and safely. Along the way, we will learn more about our unique selves and what makes each of us so very special.
Let’s Celebrate
Throughout the second half of autumn term, we will be spending time developing an awareness and respect for a wide range of festivals from around the world. Using the beautiful text ‘Little Glow’ by Katie Sahota & Harry Woodgate, we will be investigating the importance of light in celebrations and how lights of all kinds weave through festivals, bringing feelings of hope and joy for the coming year.
