History
This week in History, we kicked off our new topic—Crime and Punishment! We started by figuring out when the 17th century actually was (most of us just said "the olden days"!), then had a great discussion about what crime and punishment mean. We thought about what counts as a crime today and what kind of punishments people might get. Then things got a bit gruesome as we looked at what crimes and punishments were like in the 17th century—some of them were pretty shocking! After that, we started looking at some important events linked to crime and punishment from before, during, and after the 17th century and placed them on a timeline. We even started learning about the Pendle Witches—there’s lots more to uncover!
