Mastering Maths
Building Numbers: 9 and 10

Exploring Length 📏
We compared lengths using non-standard measurements. Using play dough we rolled worms, to then use our loose parts to measure and compare.
Who had the shortest worm?
Who had the longest?

Building Numbers: Exploring 6, 7, and 8!
We have been strengthening our number sense by exploring 6, 7, and 8 using ten frames and remembering to be five wise! We are recognising patterns, understanding number composition, and building confidence in counting.

Exploring Numbers: Part-Whole Models in Action!
Dolphins have been developing their understanding of number composition by exploring part-whole models in hands-on ways. Through practical activities like using counters, cubes, and real-life objects, they discover how numbers can be broken down and combined.

Exploring of Maths Independently

Exploring Capacity
We have been exploring capacity this week. Using a range of different sized containers, we made predictions on how many cupfuls/spoonfuls it would take to fill it.
We introduced new vocabulary - full, nearly full, nearly empty and empty!
There were lots of great discussions and hands on learning!
