Athletics
In PE, we have been developing our athletic skills. We have been learning how to throw using a strong pull action, making sure we use our bodies to generate power and accuracy. We have focused on throwing for distance and accuracy.
As well as this, we have been working on becoming faster, stronger runners! We focused on keeping our eyes looking forward throughout the run, using a fast but relaxed arm action. Our arms bent at the elbows and moved in opposition to our legs to help us run smoothly. We practised making contact with the ground on the front part of our foot and keeping our bodies leaning slightly forward to build speed and control.
