Composition
As part of music, the children have been composing their own music using their English topic as inspiration. Their compositions are titled, ‘The Machine’.








Visit from RNLI
This afternoon we welcomed Jan from RNLI who taught us how to stay safe near water. We enjoyed looking at the clothing that the lifeboat crew wear, practising a rescue with a throw bag and experiencing what cold water feels like on our hands.
Be the change - Democracy
On Tuesday, 7th March, we went to Lancaster University to learn about democracy. The children learned about: Exploring and promoting British Values; Diversity; Stereotypes; Discrimination; What is democracy?; Elections. At the end of the day, we had a debate with the motion of, "Should plastic be banned?"
World Book Day
We had a wonderful time investigating the work of various illustrators to celebrate World Book Day this year. We wrote our favourite word to create a huge word bank and drew ourselves in a particular style to form a book cover. Mr. Harding decided on a bold illustration.
