Spring Term
❄️On a Winter’s Day❄️
During out first spring half term, we will be exploring and deeping our knowledge and understanding of the season ‘winter’. We will be outside, honing our geography skills while observing key changes that occur during this time.
Later, as scientists, we will be investigating the processes of freezing and melting, and the factors that cause these wintery changes in state. Afterward, we will compare hot and cold climates as we embark on a holiday with Penguin, meeting animal friends from various parts of the world.
🤖Marvellous Machines 📠
This term, we will be stepping into the fascinating world of marvellous machines! From everyday gadgets to incredible inventions, we will be exploring how machines - past and present - help make our lives easier.
An area of our classroom will transform into a ‘Design Lab’, where we will plan, create, and evaluate our own time-saving machines. We will also learn about the famous inventor Alexander Graham Bell, delving into the science of sound waves before making our own telephones.
As the term draws to a close, we will celebrate with Easter-themed learning, bringing a festive end to our exciting journey.
