World Book Day
World Book Day 2026! The children in Teddies absolutely loved dressing up for World Book Day, there were some amazing costumes - thank you for all your efforts!
This year, our focus was on the book ‘The Barnabus Project’ by The Fan Brothers.
The book is beautifully illustrated and the Teddies started off by looking at the front cover and spotting anything interesting. What could the book be about? What do the dark colours mean? The children had some good ideas and identified how the character might be feeling just from the front cover. We then read the book and the Teddies set off to work creating their own ‘failed project’ from cut up, mismatched animal pictures!
We also took part in a World Book Day quiz and talked all about how special it is to be different - just like Barnabus!
